Are you an independent maker who’s keen to grow your business and creative capacity? We are seeking makers to join our studio space. You’ll be joining a group of existing creatives, where you can run your workspace independently. You can also access the fully-equipped wood machine shop. MXM Studios is split into three areas, a machine room and two studio rooms. A driveway stretches from the high roller door to the front of each of these spaces, making load ins/outs easy. The two shared studio rooms are configured as open plan, but walls can be configured for privacy and security. The spaces have ample natural light and bright LED ceiling lights. Single and three phase power options are available. The machine room is equipped with a comprehensive set of floor and hand machines. All main machines are ducted externally. Machinery includes: 1.2x3m vacuum press, panel and table saw, drill press, wood lathe, thicknesser and jointer, bandsaws, sharpening grinders and sharpening tools, wood lathe, wide-belt sander, metal mill, various hand and air tools, and a full set of furniture making clamps. The warehouse has toilets and a dedicated kitchen with a fridge and freezer. MXM Studios is located in the Reservoir industrial estate. Many industrial suppliers are in the surrounding suburbs: electrical, paints, glues, bolts and bearings, machining, tool supplies, laser cutting, timber & plywood, plastics, and much more. The machine room and bench room both have direct driveway access for cars and trucks. Workshop access is 24/7 with no noise or access restrictions in place.
