Northcote Uniting Church Hall is a wonderfully friendly, atmospheric, and flexible venue for your community, music and arts classes, workshops, and events. This spacious hall accommodates 250 people with 100-150 chairs, 5 comfy couches, & 2 chairs. Natural light from stained glass windows and wooden floors & ceiling create a warm atmosphere. The venue has hosted photoshoots, music videos, theatre & music gigs, & rehearsals for orchestras, bands, & choirs. The large white screens in photos are sound absorbers, also suitable for projections. It features a tuned upright piano (Wertheim), but not concert-grade. The floors are beautiful but worn, so no barefoot dancing. There are 2 toilets (1 accessible), & we recommend hiring extra facilities for large groups. The equipment room includes 6 circular & 14 rectangular tables, PA system, microphones, a soundboard, lamps, Persian rugs, candelabras, & 12 staging units (2x1m). The kitchen includes a kettle, mugs, sandwich press, fridge, stove, commercial oven, microwaves, dishwasher, and assorted crockery, cutlery, and urns. NUC is brilliantly located on Northcote High Street, easily accessible by tram, train and bus. On the doorstep are excellent restaurants and bars.
