Note that the fit of the skirt is not meant to sit firmly around the smallest portion of your waist - it does hang a little lower with a loose fit by design (see the model photos). This sometimes causes confusion and people try size down attempting to achieve a tight fit on the waist, which just results in the dress fitting and sitting incorrectly.
