TheySwarm studios for Black, Indigenous and people of colour with priority to queer / trans* / disabled artists- is located on Johnston Street, Collingwood in a lovely two-storey shopfront heritage terrace above TextaQueen's studio and TheySwarm artist residency space. This is a private and large, lockable space with two windows for natural sunlight, high ceilings and beautiful old polished floorboards. 3.5 x 5.8 m. There is lots of storage and a built in desk. Trestle table, chairs, portable fan and space heater are available for use. Access to building is via electronic keypads, upstairs tenants pass through the downstairs shopfront studio to go upstairs. The studio is lockable via padlock on door, with a latch for privacy on interior. We're 500 m to both train (Victoria Park) or tram (86), with the 200 bus stop directly outside. We're close to coffee, 500 m from Smith Street food and buzz.
