Shared solitude in the heart of the city. Inspired by the legendary New York Writers’ Room, the Sydney Writers’ Room has been operating as a writer-run initiative since 2007. The Sydney Writers’ Room exists to provide an affordable writer-dedicated workspace in the heart of the city. The Sydney Writers’ Room is now a set of adjacent office spaces occupying a quiet wing on the fourth floor of UTS Building 5B 1-59 Quay Street, Haymarket. It is accessible for room members 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Accessible via light rail, train, bus and bicycle.
