Shared workshop space in the Nicholas building. Suit jeweller, leatherworker, instrument maker, etc. The available space could be used by one or two people: 1 person: 9.4m2 - $550/month. If 2 people: 4.7m2 each - $290/month The room has high ceilings and industrial windows that look east into a light-well: The space has diffused natural light. The walls are set up with cleat-hangers that allow for flexible and aesthetic organisation of your gear. This is a newly set up space in a building that has creativity written into its soul! Neighbours include shoemakers, tailors, jewellers, and visual artists. My main practice is making Uilleann Pipes, which includes work with wood, brass, leather and fabric. I also do some odd tinkering, like guitar repair and small furniture restoration. I am looking for one or two fabulous creative makers to share the space, skills and community good vibes with me! I am also open to some arranged sharing of tools: My gear includes wood and metal lathes, drill press, bench grinder, and a heavy duty straight-stitch sewing machine. I would tend to be using the space mostly outside of business hours and during school holidays.
