Golden Age Cinema & Bar is a heritage-listed venue located in Surry Hills, in a building that once formed part of Sydney’s Hollywood Quarter. Since 2013, the space has operated as a boutique venue offering an independent film program, live music events, film trivia nights, seasonal food, and a full cocktail bar. Both the cinema and bar are available for private hire. The Bar The Golden Age Bar features low lighting, velvet curtains, leather seating, and timber interiors. It includes a hidden stage, sound equipment, and is staffed by experienced bartenders. The space is suitable for private functions including brand events, team gatherings, birthdays, and weddings. It can accommodate up to 35 guests with seated arrangements or up to 70 standing. The Cinema The cinema is a restored, 56-seat screening room equipped with original 1940s velvet chairs from Zurich, a 140-inch screen, a 2K digital projector, PA system, and 5.1 surround sound.
