The Chinese Museum's Bendigo Bank Community Gallery is a multifunctional space suitable for all types of visual art exhibitions and performances, like music, stand up and theatre. Situated on Level 1 of the Museum of Chinese Australian History, this gallery features: 100 person seated capacity, an exhibition hanging system, temporary walls, track lights, integrated audio/visual system, including: 1 x overhead projector, 2 x large, fixed, overhead speakers, 4 x wireless microphones (either handheld, lapel or head), basic RGB lighting with mixer. Our space is located at the centre of Chinatown on Cohen Place off little Bourke Street. This space has been used effectively in the past for conferences, private functions, performances, like music, stand up comedy, theatre and exhibitions. It is exposed to large scale audiences during traditional Chinese festivals and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
