Mattie Furphy House Mattie Furphy House is available for hire throughout the year, for daytime or evening workshops, meetings or functions. It is a heritage house with much character. It has a very large main room that opens onto the verandah, a fully equipped kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities, as well as an oven. There are a number of smaller rooms that serve as workspaces or meeting rooms and there are two bathrooms. We provide long wooden and/or trestle tables and 30+ chairs. The house has everything you need for an event for up to fifty people. Parking is available at the adjacent Allen Park Oval. Writers/Artists With a private study and ensuite, the house is available as a retreat for a writer or artist to work in for an hour or two, or a day, to write or create. Book Launches This is a perfect venue for book launches – day or night.
